UNIT II SEMICONDUCTING MATERIALS
For attend full 16 mark:
- Electrical conductivity of the charge carries of the intrinsic semiconductor with band gap
- Hall Effect in p-type and n-type. Hall coefficient experimental arrangement.
- Expression for extrinisic semiconductor (p & n type).
- Expressions - concentration of electrons in the conduction band, holes in the valence band of an intrinsic semiconductor.

- Carrier concentration in n-type
UNIT III MAGNETIC AND SUPERCONDUCTING MATERIALS
For attend full 16 mark:
This unit is very big unit so you chooce any one section and study proper that fully

- BCS theory
- Soft magnetic and hard magnetic materials.
- cryotron ,SQUID , magnetic train , Josephson.
Section 2:
- Domain theory of ferromagnetic materials.

- Structure , Properties and application of ferrites.
- Dia, para, ferro magnetism.

- BCS theory-High temperature superconductors-Meissner effect - Isotopic effect-Squid
UNIT IV DIELECTRIC MATERIALS
For attend full 16 mark:
- Local field in dielectric.
- Clauses masotic Relations. Frequency amd temperature on polarization. (important)
- Use of dielectric materials.
- Dielectric loss.
- Local field.
- Dielectric Breakdown
- Frequency dependence of polarization.
- Ferro electric materials, applications.
For attend at least one section :
- Electronic and Ionic Polarisation
- Clausius Mosotti Equation
